About the author
Sara Cañamero de León has a degree in Nursing from the Complutense University of Madrid and has a specialty in Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing (midwife) from the University of Navarra. She has carried out her work as a midwife in various hospitals in the Spanish public and private network and has worked for several years in the pediatric UCo of the Hospital Clínico de Madrid as a pediatric nurse.
She currently directs the MaterNatal comprehensive care center for women and early childhood in Madrid, is the coordinator of the No+Diastasis abdominal diastasis recti rehabilitation program and is the author of the book "Call the midwife: give birth, bring up, love".
She has written numerous scientific articles and participated in multiple conferences and presentations. Likewise, she has been a tutor in the practical training of the Maternal and Child course subject at the Complutense University of Madrid and a tutor in care practices in the practical training of midwives at the Virgen del Camino hospital. For years she has collaborated with different informative media (Children's Guide, El País, Suavinex, Bebé a Bordo, among others), and has her own personal blog MatronaMadrid.
