Crafts for children ages 3 to 5 are a good way to help them develop their creativity while having fun.

1. Paper plates and recipes activity

• Food coloring (optional)

How is it done?

• Have your child cut the images and discuss the foods represented.
• Ask what foods interest him the most and why he wants to include them on his plate.
• Invite the child to compose his own special meal by gluing different images of food on the paper plates.

• Aluminum foil or paint
• Yarn or string
• Cardboard to create the sea creatures
• Tape, pebbles, pearls and anything else that could be incorporated into the aquarium

How is it done?

• Help your child to completely paint the shoe box. Next, cut two large rectangles on the long sides of the box to serve as windows for the wonderful aquatic world. If you prefer, you can use aluminum foil instead of paint to cover the box.
• Lay out all the decorations for the aquarium, and make any other treasures and fish. You can cut pictures from magazines or print images from the Internet. Make sure the sea creatures always have two sides.
• Make a hole in the top of each figure and place a small piece of string through the hole.
• Cover or paint the lid to match the rest of the box. Then, make small holes in the lid with a pencil in order to hang the fish. Pass the free end of the string through the hole in the lid and tie a large knot in it to hold it.

3. Easter rabbit garland

• Construction paper in assorted colors
• White cotton and buttons
• Cotton thread
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Glue
• Rabbit template

How is it done?

• Print a rabbit template that you find online and help your child cut it out.
• Using the previously cut template, trace the shape of the rabbit on the colored construction paper. Then, cut out the new rabbits.
• Create eyes with buttons and tails with white cotton, and glue them onto the colorful rabbits.
• Make a hole in the top of each rabbit and pass the cotton thread through the paper rabbits, alternating colors until reaching the desired length.
• Then your pretty Easter garland is ready to hang!
