She graduated in Modern Languages and Translation from the University of Alcalá in 2015, and later she complemented her studies with marketing and digital marketing courses taken by the University of Edinburgh and IAB Spain in 2017 and the Advertising Translation: transcreation and copywriting with Trágora Formación in 2019.
Elena Castro participated in the V International Congress of Myth Criticism with the paper "The Duality of Translation in Historical Television Series: Vikings" (Universidad de Alcalá, 2018), which was later published by Losada publishing house in the same year.
Since 2015, she has combined her work as a translator with teaching English, and in 2018 she established herself as a freelance translator specializing in scientific-technical, audiovisual, and localization translation.
