Emotional Education In The Womb
The lives of human beings is a miracle or a mystery that still hasn’t been fully explained. But it all starts in the womb.
There in the belly of every mom, a baby receives from the placenta and umbilical cord all they need for the development of their organs and body. In addition to all the physical nutrients that your baby receives from you, they also receive the effects of your emotions.
That is why it’s so important to have a peaceful and healthy pregnancy. Remember if you are doing well, your baby will also be doing well.
Stress or the stress hormone cortisol has many effects on us humans. Sometimes the effects of stress can save us because it helps us stay alert and focused. However it can also affect us negatively.
It all depends on the amount of stress that we usually deal with. Being overly stressed can have a negative effect on your baby’s health. Some cases show that anxious mothers can have hyperactive children, anxious children or children with learning problems.
It is completely natural to deal with a little bit of stress daily. However subjecting your body to maintained high doses of cortisol can be harmful to both you and your child.
Currently, pediatricians, obstetricians, phycologists, neurologists, psychiatrists and many other specialists all agree that the prenatal levels of anxiety in a pregnant woman not only affect the life of the baby in the uterus but also affects their future as an individual.
“We are a product of our history of development in the womb“

A stress-free pregnancy
Science, in specific psychoanalysis, has discovered that during the first stage of maternity the following is true: During these early stages there are many conditions that affect the psychology of a child which can be positive or negative.
Older studies also show that these conditions can have a long-term effect on a child’s psychology. Presently scientists have also discovered that this interaction does not start at birth, but rather in the womb.
A group of investigators led by Vivette Glover, Psychobiologist at the Imperial College of London, studied 14,000 pregnant women. They measured the level of anxiety during pregnancy and found the following:
Women with a higher level of anxiety have double the probability to have children with attention problems and disorders such as hyperactivity. This does not occur in all cases, yet there is increasing evidence that stress affects children from the time they are in the womb. This is why it is important to have a peaceful pregnancy.
The emotional intelligence of your child starts in your belly
Your partner can help you to de-stress. Involve them in the process of your pregnancy! Society usually tends to leave fathers on the side and this is why they sometimes feel ignored. Their feeling can sometimes be misunderstood by mothers and can cause difficulties in the relationship.
According to research, many men wonder if their wives will continue loving them after the baby is born. This probably occurs because women immerse themselves with everything related to the baby, often making their partner feel left behind.
Pregnancy is the time to start making a team of at least three members. This team should be made up of: You, the mom, the baby and the dad, if you have a partner.
Your partner can help out a lot when it come to managing your emotions during your pregnancy. In the same way your friends do, your husband can be the relief you need from the pressure you feel during your day.
Another good strategy to take care of your emotional health and at the same time that of your baby is to find help to reduce your stress levels, anxiety or depression.
You should try to look after your health by focusing on exercise, eating healthy and also filling your days with positive emotions which nourish your baby.
When women get pregnant for the first time, their medical professionals should ask them about their emotional state, their relationships and family. This should be done in order to see if they need support.
They should find people who can help when a problem arises. We need more resources and better trained professionals that can help women whenever and wherever they need it.
