You are the most beautiful child in the world. Since the moment I found out I was pregnant, my heart burst with emotion. Your father and I told the news to your grandparents, and they also loved you from that very moment.

My pregnancy was a time of sweet anticipation. Those nine months were filled with wonderful feelings, but none of them compared to what I felt when I saw you for the first time. At that moment, I knew you were the most beautiful child in the world.

I went along to every checkup, and I got to see your little face on the scans that they did while you were in my womb. Yet nothing compared to our first meeting, my little one.

When I held you in my arms and saw your sweet face, I cried, I laughed, I kissed you a thousand times...

I was madly in love with you. It seemed impossible to believe that you would be here with us, that I could feel your warm body, your smooth skin next to mine, your smell.

That was the best day of my life!

I remember that I ran my eyes and my hands over your tiny, fragile body. I counted your little fingers and toes, checking on you constantly, making sure you were safe and well.

When I looked at you, I lost myself in the shy smile that traced itself on your lips as you slept.

I had never, ever seen a face so sweet, or eyes so beautiful. Even when you cried, it filled me with tenderness.

Your baby smell was irresistible, better than the finest perfume in the world.

You turned my world upside down

Since you were born, my priorities have changed. From that moment onwards, you became the most important thing in my life – only you, my beautiful child.

I feel capable of moving heaven and earth if you need me to. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you, because you have given me the strength necessary to overcome any obstacle, any challenge, any trace of tiredness.

I know that every mother feels that her child is the most beautiful child in the world. I am no exception, and I can’t help it.

But if I believe you to be the most beautiful child on the face of the earth, it is not just because of how you look. You are beautiful because of who you are, because you are my child.

And when I tell you that you changed my whole world, I am not exaggerating. You transformed my concept of love, and my idea of beauty.

Beyond your physical beauty, you are beautiful because you are alive, because you are a healthy child, because every day you take every chance to learn something new.

You are beautiful because you cling onto life, and with every breath and every heartbeat, you give me the strength to get up each morning and do everything I can to help you to fulfill your potential.

My feelings for you are beautiful

The feelings that you awaken in me are so beautiful. I had never felt so much dedication, so much generosity, so much passion, tenderness, tranquility and calm.

Since you came into my life, I don’t seek to satisfy my own needs, but to ensure your wellbeing. I have become a better person, thanks to you, and that is also something beautiful.

And now our future, too, is beautiful, because your presence in our lives has made it so. Every day is worth living now that you are here.

Even after a hard day, the struggles of the outside world vanish instantly when I hear your voice and see your face.

Your presence has been a revolution. Our home, once a tidy apartment, has become chaotic.

And the truth is, it doesn’t matter that the ornaments on the coffee table aren’t so tidy anymore. You have turned our house upside down; the order that we once enjoyed has gone, and we don’t mind.

Once our house was full of trinkets. Now, they have been replaced by the bibs and diapers, baby clothes, blankets and toys that remind us that within these four walls lives the most beautiful child in the world: you.
