As the name suggests, this film tells the story of the descendants of some of Disney’s classic villains.

This film was nominated for three musical Oscars and two Golden Globes for Best Actress and Best Original Song. These recognitions are due to the modern, critical and humorous way they tell a classic princess story.

Princess Giselle is transported by a spell from an evil queen to Manhattan. While there, she has to abandon her childish and cheesy customs and adapt to society. And of course, it has your typical fairytale ending: they lived happily ever after!

4. Cheetah Girls

This was the first of the musical movies for teens from the Disney Channel. It stars four friends who decide to start a music group and they work to become big pop stars.

Unexpectedly, a leading music producer discovers them and turns them into huge stars. However, they soon realize that fame and success aren’t as pretty and simple as it seems. In addition, this film teaches the value of friendship and companionship.

Many teenagers find themselves wanting to sing and dance to the songs on the soundtrack after watching these musical movies. And, they’re not ashamed to!
